Karma: Difference between revisions

Karma (Sanskrit: कर्म) means action, work or deed; it also refers to the spiritual principle of the [[Law of Cause and Effect]] where intent and actions of an individual (cause) an influence upon the future of that individual (effect). Positive intent and positive deeds help to contribute to positive karma that helps to co-create future happiness, while negative intent and negative deeds contribute to the consequences of negative karma and future suffering. Karma is closely associated with the idea of consciousness rebirth in many schools of Asian religions. In these schools, karma in the present affects one's future in the current life, as well as the nature and quality of future lives, the wheel of the [[Stations of Identity]] are called samsara.
