It is only possible to engage with Emotional Healing once we have achieved greater levels of Self Awareness, which is the fruit of dedicated self-inquiry. The process of becoming aware of our Emotional Triggers and sourcing the real cause of emotional pain is made through self-observation and increased self-awareness. Through dedicated observation of the self and gradually discerning between these functioning aspects of the mind, one can attain the direct experience of the Consciousness they are. The still point of which this consciousness connects into the parts of our mind is that which forms all of our thoughts, emotions, and experiences that direct us through life. Through observation and self-inquiry, we become aware of the contents of our psychological and emotional patterns of behavior. See Emotional Body Goals.

Emotional Release – 1

Sometimes in conjunction with our energy work we will be best served when emotional catharsis arises, to help us clearly feel, acknowledge and forgive painful emotional patterns in ourselves and others. Forgiveness and Forgetfulness frees the pain from impacting your body.

For a complete emotional release you may want to ask yourself a few questions about a few of the social experiences creating frustrations:

  • What is your pay off for your disease/pain?
  • What people do you need to forgive?
  • What do you feel guilty for?
  • Do you have the wisdom to know the difference?
  • What can you change, what do you need to accept?
  • Are you being totally honest with yourself?

After each question is complete and you have answered them (it’s preferable to write them down), REPEAT OUTLOUD STEP A.

  • STEP A:

Even though I feel or have this (answer to each question), I deeply and completely accept and forgive myself.

  • STEP B:

Use affirmation to re-pattern/refocus every time you have an anxious or negative thought. State it as your intention when you wake up in the morning.

Affirm: I stand in my truth. I move forward with joy. I have spiritual understanding

When tempers flare and we feel an automatic response of pain and fear to an immediate circumstance, Here are 5 Steps to immediately shift your emotional reaction.

Choose to respond and not react. Identify the emotional trigger and apply discipline to not allow this trigger to impact you or lose control of yourself. Dismantle that emotional trigger from reactive and automatic behaviors. Stay Calm.

  • 1. Patience: Pause, step back, take a breath. If emotionally heated remove yourself from the circumstance briefly to get control over yourself.
  • 2. Surrender to the process: “There is a process happening that I may not entirely understand. I may not know the answer right now, but that is okay. I will get myself out of the way as to not escalate the negativity. “
  • 3. Acceptance: “I may not like this situation and I accept that I do not like it. I am choosing peace because I trust something larger is at work in this situation. “
  • 4. Forgiveness: When you can - calmly tell the story, feel your feelings, and allow the situation to be accepted and forgiven for what it is right now. Revalue the situation and do not allow it to take your personal strength and power away. When we get very upset or angry, and act it out, we drain valuable energies and resources from our vital forces. (i.e. *“I can only change how I respond internally to external things and I accept the things that I cannot change. “)
  • 5. Be Here Now! Be Here Now! Be Here Now! Be present in the moment and apply neutrality as the Observer.
  • Affirm: I am the Power, Master and Cause of my Emotions.
